I used to be the first one to give ugly looks when people brought “diet” food to a tailgate.  Calorie counting has no place in football, right?  But being fit and healthy is not about calorie counting, it is about changing your lifestyle.  It is about portion control, eliminating processed foods and putting the best of what you can in your body. Having said that, I would never send anyone into a football party armed with food that may shame you into a corner because you were the one who brought the “diet” food.

Here is a list of tried, tested and approved recipes that will keep you football fit and the hit of the tailgate!

You can almost feel fall coming.  Mums and Halloween decorations are starting to pop up in the stores.  The mornings are getting a little chillier and the number one sign that fall is just around the corner….FOOTBALL!!!

In my quest to will those cooler temps and to kick off the season, I started decorating our front porch to celebrate the team of our house and I thought I’d share to start getting all of you excited for the Football Fit series!!

Just because summer is over, that is no reason to forget about feeling and looking your best.  Over the next month I’ll post workouts, recipes and fun activities that will get the entire family moving.  So, join me in saying goodbye to those hot, sweaty days and hello to being football fit!

Here is the start of my front porch.  I have a new mission to do more with our front porch than just clear some cobwebs now and then so I’ve been getting crafty and on the hunt for some fun items to feature.

This is the wreath I made this weekend. Not sure I really like it but I have an idea for a new one.

I found a drink bucket that we had but I’ve got my eye on this bucket from Dandelions & Dragonflies.  I can just see it filled with mums now!
